The Ashlock men are very patriotic, and every generation have fought for our country. Willam Ashlock (d 1786) fought for Halifax County and died in the Revolutionary War while fighting with his four sons, William, Jesse, James, and Richard.
Kentucky - William Ashlock's (d.1786) sons and their families relocated to Lincoln County, Stanford, Kentucky beginning in 1792. Richard's family stayed in Lincoln County, and his brothers relocated to Nelson, Bullitt, and Marion counties. William's Ashlock hollow is on the border of Bullitt and Nelson county, and the foundation of the homestead and moonshine distillery still stand.
